Using Subscription Forms on GroupList.io

Learn how to create and embed email subscription forms with GroupList.io. Grow your email list with customizable, GDPR-ready forms.

Using Subscription Forms

GroupList.io makes it easy to grow your mailing list with embeddable subscription forms you can add to your website. Whether you're collecting emails for a newsletter, event, or announcement list, our forms are simple to set up and style.

Why Use a Subscription Form?

Subscription forms allow your visitors to opt into your email list directly from your website. This builds a high-quality contact list with proper consent and improves deliverability.

Step-by-Step: Create a Subscription Form

  1. Log in to your GroupList.io account
Go to GroupList.io and log in to your dashboard.
  2. Select a list
Navigate to the "Subscribers" tab and select the list you want subscribers to be added to.
  3. Click "Generate Embed Form"
You'll find an option to generate a subscription form for that specific list.
  4. Customize your form
Choose the fields you want to include (e.g. name, email), select your form style (light/dark, compact/full-width), and optionally add custom CSS for advanced styling.
  5. Copy the embed code
A ready-to-paste HTML snippet will be generated. Copy it to your clipboard.
  6. Paste into your website
Add the HTML to your site where you want the form to appear. It works with any website builder (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, HTML sites, etc.).
  7. Test it out
Submit a test email to make sure it lands in your selected list.

Anti-Spam & Compliance

All forms include:

  • Double opt-in (optional, recommended)
  • Google reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha protection
  • GDPR-ready consent checkboxes

Pro Tips

  • Place your form above the fold for better visibility.
  • Keep it short — name and email usually convert best.
  • Use a strong call to action ("Get Updates", "Subscribe & Save", etc.)
